Blueberries are good stuff... and brain food too.

In a half cup serving of blueberries there are only 62 calories and a half gram of fat. There are also .7 grams protein, 15 grams carbohydrates (including 1.5 grams fiber), 15 mg of calcium, 13 mg phosphorus, 1 mg of iron, 81 mg potassium, 14 mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C), 100 I.U. vitamin A, and a few mg of sticks and bug parts--if dad wasn't careful at picking time.

This compares to a 2 oz. serving of potato chips ( half the above serving of blueberries) which contains 300 calories and 20 grams of fat. At an average price of $2.80 a pound, chips are twice the price of pick-your-own blueberries. Recent research studies found that blueberries showed the highest anti-oxidant activity, especially in revving brain activity, of the 40 common fruits and vegetables tested.
